I started Jeeping because my friend just got his 97 TJ project build in two months ago. I've waved at every other Jeep on the road whenever I notice them (I've only missed three so far). I rarely get a wave back. Most of the JK's around here are either
A. Teenage guys who have no idea how to properly offroad and couldn't tell you the difference between 4hi and 4lo...
B. Soccer moms who got the Jeep because their husband really really wanted one or...
C. Teenage girls who can't get off their cell phone long enough to pay attention to the road nonetheless wave.
I just get confused looks from them when I wave. I haven't actually gotten a wave from a JK down here yet. The older guys however wave to me all the time. I passed a TJ on the highway and he leaned out of window to wave and say hi.
Oh yea my gf does get why Jeepers wave and she thinks its cool. She helps point them out to me on the road and she waves too.

So we are driving to Wildwood this past weekend and we are in the wifes SUV. She sees a Jeep and waves. She said she waves to Jeeps all the time now and no one waves back. This is the woman who said the Jeep wave was dumb and she would never wave if she had a Jeep... now she's waving from her Mercedes ML350 and wondering why no one is waving back.

On a sour note I passed a really modded JK Unlimited today 4+ inches of lift, 35's, bumpers, lights etc. I waved and he turned and looked the other way as if he was blowing me and my stock JK off. Douche Bag!
On a better note I got the always appreciated flash of the high beams the other day warning me of a cop ahead. This is almost as good as a Jeep wave! I laughed and thought to myself "Like I can speed in a Jeep going up hill"!

I get this too. Other Jeepers in really moded out JK's give me krusty looks when I drive by....whether I wave or not.
Excuse me if I have to do this one step at a time...first buy the JK, then lift the JK, then get the winch, then .... well it never ends, right?
