It depends on which one you get (there are two versions). The Mopar options are thoroughly explored in this thread ...

Default Install question

I know it's an old thread but could someone tell me how do you secure the middle strap that goes to the front/ middle loop in the windshield channel, how do you route the "Y" strap? does it wrap the sound bar (Y strap over the dome light) then to the loop at the wind shield or goes over the sound bar (between the sound bar and the bonnet) directly to the wind shield loop? Instructions are not clear about this step.

I think that it should go back to wrap the sound bar then to the wind shield to pull the sun bonnet's middle part of the top to the back of the jeep and then secure it to the wind shield. But my Y strap does reach the wind shield this way, the strap won't reach the loop. So I just pull the Y strap directly to the loop at the windshield and pull it to secure it but it sags the top (from the middle to the front). Is the Y strap too short or did I install it correcty or I'm missing something?

Hopefully I make sense, I'll take a pic after work just to be sure.

Thanks

Thank you McNulty!

Mine is a four door but I gues it should be the same for that part. So I guess that mine is missing 1ft of strap at the Y. I can not route the Y like that, so I strap it directly to the windshield without going around the sound bar and because it is a four door the straps at the very end of the sun bonnet will keep back half stretch but the front half will sag.

Need to learn how to sew. I already have some extra strap around.

Anyone with a four door would like to confirm this?

Thanks again

It helps, just confirmed that mine is missing 1 or 2 ft of strap.

Thank you both, great help!
