MOPARŽ Rubicon Dana 44 Front Axle - Price
Anyone know why the price for the MOPARŽ Performance Rubicon Edition Dana 44 Front Axle went up to $2999.99? I called Quadratec and confirmed the price. They used to be around $1600 for the front. 4wd.com still has them listed for around $1600, but they are out of stock. I know the new model number does not come with brakes. I guess Mopar just raised the price.

Sounds like a Typo to me???? Or maybe Quadratec is throwing in shipping in that price??? That's quite the price hike... making it much less of a deal than before. At that price point, I'd give the heavy duty axle makers a call and see what they have in their catalogs!

it is not a typo. i was talking to someone at 4wd a few weeks ago and they said after the first of the year they were going up, alot. dont remember the reason why. and they no longer come with the brakes. so less parts=more money. doesnt make any sence to me.

according to my dealership, they where only selling the left over stock of rubi axles. supply has gone way down and can't keep up. Also Mopar just released D60's for the JK. 5 x 5.5, open axle, completel hub to hub for about the same price.

My guess is that they were selling the Dana 44s based on a markup from their cost. And apparently they had a pretty good price with Dana that they couldn't get again. I know they had some type of dispute with Dana.
