I put my dead pedal on Sat. morning during my coffee intake session. Anyhow thanks for everyone's help regarding my inquiry. This is why I enjoy this JK-Forum so much. You didn't lead me wrong guys. I love this pedal, funny how a slight mod can make such a difference. Would not have tried it without checking here first. Thx for the positive feedback on this item. Anyone else considering purchasing this pedal, go for it, Great product. Bill

It's good for that too, but they're most often used for driver bracing in performance driving with manual vehicles. I've owned several cars that had them. For my Jeep, I'd want it so I could stabilize myself during regular street driving, and also for wheeling when I'm crawling along.

I really need one of these on my 2012 auto trans. The M.O.R.E. unit is simple, but brilliant.
Took the Jeep on a cruise through some hilly country yesterday. Just an on-pavement cruise with the wife. I felt like my left leg/foot is always lacking a comfortable place to rest so I'm always moving it about!
I was telling my wife of this "dead pedal" option and she looked at me like I was insane, but then she's never had a manual transmission vehicle to have known that feeling.

Any response to this? Was thinking of ordering one for myself, as the driver, but was curious if I should just order 2 while I'm at it to save on shipping. Is it worth it on the passenger side?

I have one. I tend to always have a passenger when wheeling. After a while i found everyone was digging their feed into the floor mat. This was causing the little plastic nubby mat retainer to start to pull out. Everyone since has like the pedal to keep them stable.

installed my dead pedal yesterday, quick and easy install, hardly notice it is there from a visual perspective and my foot lands right on it and I'm comfortable while driving, no longer constantly moving around my left leg
