Modifications that you wish You did NOT do.

I wish I would have never started putting the Bushwacker Flat Fenders on my 2011. The flare is nice but the install process is a bitch and believe it or not you can do damage just putting these things on due to the crap nuts and bolts they use with the kit. I am glad I never got around to doing the rear before I decided to trade for my 12. Also anything that includes a nutsert imo is a modification that is going to go to hell during the install process too. Had several of those on past Jeeps. If it uses a nutsert I will not even look at it!

I wish I would have ordered my '12 JKU Rubicon 6 speed with 3.73 gears instead of the 'stock' 4.10's. The gas mileage would be better on the highway, and it already has plenty of power and torque down low.

LoD front bumper. The powdercoat is faded, it has rust coming from a few places where the powdercoat didn't reach. And I just found out today that I'm going to have to remove the winch to change a fog light bulb. It looks great, but man is it a headach to have to hank the winch to change a light bulb.
Hypertech programmer. I chased detonation issues with it that were never worked out, and oddly enough do not exist with the Diablosport Predator I have now, or the Superchips I borrowed from a friend for 3 weeks to see if I liked it, or on the stock tune. It had no features such as TPMS adjustmnet, or really it has no ability to adjust anything other than tire size, gear ratio, and level of performance you want(87/89/93).

I bought a/ts and 2500 miles later bought m/ts. i went with a front stubby bumper and kinda wish I had a full or mid length. Ironically enough, I decided on 2.5" lift with 33s and 4.10s and I'm perfectly happy with not being bigger.. I guess the get bigger bug skipped me.

I'm not happy with my SmittyBilt SRC front bumper. The powder coat is flaking off, and I've never been happy with the shape. But it holds my winch and a couple of aux. lights, so it worked. Just ordered an Expedition One from Dave at Northridge.
I wish I would've got the EVO Enforcer kit, killer!
Never shoulda got the hardtop...can't stand it.

I wish I did not go with 285/75 tires over the 265/75s I had waiting in the garage.
The 265s only decrease your running ground clearance by 1/2". But the weight savings you get with them is good for almost 2 miles per gallon, which equates to $50 bucks per month for the average driver. Definitely should have stuck with the 32s.

I can relate to a lot of the stories on here ... My advice is begin with the end in mind. Decide how far you are going to build and stick with the game plan.
My mistakes:
I went from my 2010 stock to-
- 2.5” BB to 4” Teraflex to EVO double throw downs (in 8 months)
- 35”s to 37”s (in 3 months)
- Bestop High Rock rear bumper to Body Armor to PureJeep
- Bestop High Rock front bumper to EVO 1/4 pounder w/stinger
- Soft 8’s to Spyderlocks
- Teraflex Flexarms to EVO Long Arm upgrade
- Cobra 75 to Cobra 29 CB
- and I am sure there is a lot I am missing here
All of this in a years time. Yes ... begin with the end in mind ...

Never knew I'd like wheeling so much or I wouldn't have gotten my leveling kit/Rubi springs and 33's. I run 35's and a RC 3.5 lift now just a few months after I got my 33's. Money for those tires (and wheels) down the tubes.
