I have a semi stock 2010 JK (just installed 2.5 lift, light bar, etc...) and am beginning the process of adding upgrades. Before I spend countless $ on upgrades, I though I'd ask if anyone bought an "upgrade" only to find that it wasn't all it was cracked up to be
.
I'll start: Rugged Ridge Mirror re-locator. Put it on and now I can't see out of the passenger side mirror
. Will put the factory ones back on and get something else when time comes to take the doors off again.

I have too much pride to admit that I spent money on something stupid or just useless.
However, I will admit that I bought things before I really decided what I wanted out of my jeep. I started with a small lift and 33s. If I could go back in time I would get a slightly larger lift with more flex and at least 35s. So yeah I wasted money, but the products were not at fault.

The RR relocation for sure. the passenger side dead pedal from MORE. no one ever uses it.
hand held midland cb. i ended up putting a regular cb in it.
5:13 gears. i had to change to 5:38.
my tera flex 4". i just ordered a TF 6" long arm
rancho shocks. they sucked balls
my wheels. i wanted walker evans but bought something cheaper, but still expensive at 179 each. now i'm buying the walker evans anyway.
i have changed the audio three times. i should of just done it the way i wanted the first time.
basically every time i made a compromise because of cost i have been unhappy and ended up buying what i wanted in the first place.
which reminds me. i should of bought a 2x and built it the way i wanted. i wish i wouldn't of even bought a rubi

Upgrades I might reconsider next time:
- jet stage two chip....questionable
- air raid...made my engine sound like it was ready to explode
- Delta light upgrade.....nothing to do with the upgrade itself apart buying for a LHD instead for my RHD
- Samco radiator hoses....btm one doesn't fit on a RHD jeep
- go up straight to 35" tires
- skimping on adjustable track bars Fr/RR, next time would buy them straight away.
That's it for now :-)
