My first car was a manual, first Jeep was a manual, and current JK is a manual. Auto's get really boring to drive in my opinion and I wouldn't personally own one.

I just got my 2012 JK Rubicon yesterday w/ a 6 spd and it is a blast to drive. Cant imagine getting an Auto.
