Lug nuts
Here is kind of a stupid question but I'll admit I have no clue when it comes to lug nuts, but I'll ask it anyway. I currently have 3/4" lug nuts on right now. Will 1/2" fit also or do I have to stick with the 3/4"?

I'm pretty sure that the wheel studs are 1/2" diameter, so am curious how someone thinks they can get 1/2" socket-sized lugs to fit on a 1/2" diameter shaft. Or are you perhaps confusing socket size with thread size?
BTW: There is a subforum for Stock JK questions. That would be a better place for this one.

Except when you get into hardened structural bolts the standard rule of thumb for the wrench size is
1 1/2 times the nominal bolt size. If you're shopping for locking wheel nuts-(just Guessing here) Yes the thread size is 1/2" X20 threads per inch pitch and the socket size is 3/4" for your tool to install.
Now I helped the youngsters...It's my turn. Why can't my MS XP OS let me get into IE search anymore and Mozilla Firefox is slow to fire up?
Oh and my old arthritic figures will now hit the 'Submit Reply' button...not 'send'...inside story

At least that's how I think it works.

BTW: I normally don't post about things being in the wrong subforum unless the person has a really low post count (16 in this case). Mostly I just want to help them better use the forums. Search, unreliable as it is, is a bit better if folks do a couple things, including use decent titles on their post ("Got a Question" is pretty useless--why not just make the question the title?), and limit discussions to the appropriate subforum. So, my thinking is a bit more long range.

Ah so thread is NF not NC. That's cool but the main thing he needs to know is that it is a 1/2 " nominal diameter lug nut and the supplier will know the pitch.
