We took a ride out on the beach and we saw a van in the turn off area. We slowed down and yes they were stuck. It was a young girl and her brother and they had put than van down to sides in the sand. I tried the boards but no luck since the van was bottomed out. We took the tow rope and pulled out backwards. I then drove it out for them to the asphalt. My wife and I love helping people. We do this all the time with our boat as well. This is our first rescue with the jeep! It was great. i am sure their parents did not know they had taken the mini-van on the beach! HA! The sand was flat when the engine was sitting on the ground. Our jeep, Ruby, did great! We were like proud parents! I always saw when my time comes I will get help as well!

It is fun to be able to help out when someone is in need. Living in Michigan, I always have a strap in my Jeep in the winter. Now I also have traction boards. I was able to use them and the strap to get a 17 year old out of a ditch a few weeks ago. Love getting people out of ditches in the winter. When they ask what they owe me, I just ask them to pay it forward.
