Looking into purchasing a JKU
Hey ive been looking around for a JKU and I think I found the one im going to buy. It is a 07 JKU X with the sahara side step and Rubicon tires with approx 20-30% tread left (not a big deal as I would be looking to upgrade to 35 nitto trail grapplers right away) . It has just under 40000 miles with no body rust and very little underbody rust. It has the 4.10 gear ratio in it. Ive worked out a deal for 17,750 with the seller and just wanted to get others opinions on whether its a good deal and I should go buy it saturday and become a true member or if I should keep looking.

If you're price was 20000 you would have a instant deal. The mango is my absolute favorite color ever and i wanted less miles but my price limit is at 20000 if that worked out some way some how id be out there this weekend buying it

I'd be interested to know what other options it has. It's not a bad deal but here are a few things go think about. At 40,000 you are getting into potential serious repair work. No rust is good but what about the maintenance? Are there records? Has it been wheeled? You won't have a warranty so everything will cost you cash money. Can you can do the work? that makes it easier and cheaper. Doing work on a 4 year old jeep can be tough. My wife has an 07 grand Cherokee and everything is seized, and it isn't rusted very much at all.
I certainly think you can get a good used jeep. But more details are necessary to determine if it is a good deal. Good luck and no matter what you get you'll be happy with a jeep.

It was originally the owner of the dealers car and then the buyers now have had it since. They say all the work has been done all maintenance. They are an older couple so it hasn't ever been wheeled. It doesn't have any rust that isn't the usual on all the ones I've looked at so far. I know I'm missing something that you said but I know the mileage is a little high but I'm going to be a college freshman so I won't be driving it to much and when I do it will be mainly highway. I can do some to most work on my own as long as not to major. I plan on doing all lifts and mods on my own like I did with my old car so im capable but no mechanic at the same time.
