Vacation of our lives. New Jersey west to Moab, Ut. (14 days in Moab and Jeep Safari) West to Las Vegas, NV. and then back east to Raleigh, NC. then Skyline Drive noth to West Virginia. Then east and back to New Jersey.

All this in our 2008 Jeep Unlimited Sahara with 37" tires, 4.5" Long Arm Lift, and 5:13 gears. No issues out or back. Total miles about 6200...... Will be doing almost the same trip next year, but we are going to stop off in Telluride, Co. to do Black Bear Pass.......... Oh, and will be towing my M-100 Trailer this time out, did'nt have the trailer build done in time our last trip out....

Best gas mileage was through Il, we got just under 17mpg. Worst was going through and over the Rockies, mileage was 9.5mpg. Rest of the trip was getting around 13mpg whitch is what I get all the time........

So to put it simple 6200 Miles in a Modded JK, NO PROBLEMS.

I dream of doing the JK Experience. I'm going to one of these days when I get my Jeep built up more! Just gotta figure out how to get me girly girl off work for that amount of time.

As far as gas mileage, I usually get between about 11 and 14.5 mpg with my 37's. I imagine once I get my rear bumper and my armour added on that will drop even more.

I bought my 2013 JKU with a 6.4 Hemi and a 3.5" AEV suspension lift and 35" tires already installed. I had owned the Jeep for about a week, which was long enough to find out it was the all time best driving machine I had ever owned. The power and performance were absolutely incredible, the handling was fantastic, and the ride quality was great. One Saturday morning my wife and I decided to go for a "ride" in the new Jeep. We traveled several scenic highways in southern UT, crossed Lake Powel on the ferry, and kept on going until we got to Monument Valley by sunset. We turned back toward home just after dark, and when we got to Page, Arizona at 10 PM all of the hotels in town were full. We kept on going until we got home at 2 AM, for a total days drive of 900+ miles. It was one of the best rides we've been on in years. The Jeep worked fantastic, and was super comfortable the whole time.

As far as gas mileage, on the section of the trip between Cedar City, UT, and Mexican Hat, UT, which was all 45 mph to 65 mph two lane black top, plus about 35 miles of graded dirt road on the Burr Trail, the Jeep got 17 mpg. That's not bad for a 500 HP V8.

I just finished a 2400 mile trip in 4 1/2 days. Averaged 17.3 mpg on 35s. 5.13 gears and manual trans. Cruised at 63 to 67 mph most of the way. I was on the road bout 10 hours each day, or about 600 miles /day

1 month in to dating, my first trip with my gf was a 5 day excursion from Montreal to Labrador city last spring equinox. We went to watch the aurora borealis and winter camp on our way there in the Taiga.

JK is 3" lifted, with 35" tires and all the steel accouterments you would expect. Road was mountainous and loooooong, with stretches of "venture at your own risk" billboarded roads, as well as "white man keep out signage. Fuel jerries came in handy.

Other than lots of downshifting in altitude, and a severe eroding of my MPG consciousness for my psychological self preservation, the trip was awesome and the mods came in handy. Trip cost more than an all inclusive down south, but with less roof above our heads.

Needless to say i determined my gf is a keeper :]

I only have 33s, but I promise my experience was more than most will ever have.

22 hours to go 884 miles.
From just east of Cimmaron (Silver Jack Resevoir area) to Dallas.

Pulling a trailer 8x10 loaded with a kawasaki mule.
Three kids.
80lbs golden
12lbs poodle and my wife.

Luggage loaded on the trailer for a 10-day trip to Colorado where lows were in upper 30s and highs in the low 80s.
Translation: LOTS of clothes and shtuff.

Trailer tire blew out on way home. Halfway down Raton Pass headed south into NM. Dumped trailer, drove to Raton, bought 4-way, flipped around back up Raton pass, almost back into CO, flipped back around towards NM. Pulled off trailer tire, shoved in the Jeep with my four passengers+two dogs. Tire shop in Raton closed at 1. Flipped back around and headed back up and over Raton pass to Trinidad to Wally World. Bought a new tire, had it mounted, headed back up Raton pass and down towards the trailer. Put tire on trailer, hooked up and headed on home to Dallas. Aside from the blowout, the heep was quite comfortable. Sent from some string and a few tin cans.
