we take our JK out on long drives all the time and it's sitting on 5" of lift and 37's. i'd say do it as you never know when you might want to take a side route

I have got a 2600+ mile drive coming up this week. JK's are much more comfortable than a TJ. I drove from NJ to Missouri in my 2 door in Jan 07 with no problems.

Take the Jeep. I have the same set up as you and it's not bad, I have don a couple 200 mile trips. It may take a little longer, but you are in the Jeep.

I did take my old TJ with 4" lift 33's and a bikini top from So Cal to Oregon and back and that was a super fun trip, my then GF, now wife, got a little sun burned though.

i guess i will be the black cloud....

As much as i love my jeep...i dread such a long drive in it. I drive 3 hours to Moab and thats about my max. NOw being a 2 door...it makes you work alot more then a 4dr i believe and its a rougher ride with the short wheel base. But go for it! you wont see it for a while!

Take the Jeep! Your two door will beat you up a bit (Not nearly as comfortable as a car), but gosh, what happens if you see some place that looks fun to 'xplore?
