LOD BUmper problems anybody?

I feel your pain BillyCJ7. I just went though the same problems, purchased the bumper back in January. Arrived in February, all the problems described with the first generation. I tried to make contact for weeks with no response. In March I was told that the power coating machine had been down for over a month and would ship soon. Two weeks later I got notice of the shipment and it arrived yesterday. No return call tags for the old bumper were supplied for DHL, so I'm out an additional $100 for shipping back the old ones.
The new design is 90% better than the first one. No pinching of the body, reinforced throughout and better mounting in the frame rail. The tire carrier went on this time with just a little grease, not a sledgehammer like the first one. The 10% where there is still trouble from what I can see is the tire carrier barely makes contact with the bump stops on the tailgate. As tight as everything else is, I'll need to find a way to make this more secure. If I had it to do over again, I'd find another manufacturer to purchase from.

Nope, no install instructions. I've come to the conclusion this is a very small business. This guy is taking orders, building and packing bumpers. There are no quality checks in place before an order gets ship. I say this because each shipment of mine has been missing the hardware.(nuts and bolts)
Even if there is no special install pictures, the least you would expect is a couple of paragraphs of notes for the install to cover the got ya's and other unknowns.

Thanks for that. I'm not a complete moron, and have been modifying cars/jeeps for quite a few years. Just trying to get all the information I can before taking the bumper off.

yes, I finally got the bumper. Holes did not line up the best but is very solid once installed. The finish on the bumper is poor. but its here at least. I think I got what I paid for.

Did I get what I paid for? Yup. Am I "happy"? Yes/no. Will I buy my front bumper from them? Meh, probably not.
