I went with the Fabtech 3" and got a true 3"
Why because the ride was to stay the same and I would be able to clear 35" tires. The JK was made really well and I didn't want to change the whole suspension and steering. This way the Jeep handles like stock on the road and I have the 35" tires to help even more off road
I like the spacers myself, but its up to you, might be disappointed if you don't like the ride, then thats one expensive undesirable drive.
I love my Jeep it handles like a dream,no problems

I have been thinking about this same set-up. I have a 08 2dr X and have put a shrockworks mid-width and warn 9.5ti on so now have a good rake. I want to lift it and try to level it out a little but do not want to spend alot on other suspension accessories at this time. I am running the stock rubi tires and will run them for a while. Any suggestions?
