which lift and why?

Steel Blue 08 2 door Rubicon
I have almost saved enough to order the TF 3" Kit with all 8 control arms and adj. front track bar. I don't do much off roading, but have always had a lifted vehicle. I just can't see doing it half way. It seems from what I've read here and what I have experienced with my Toyotas, that skimping on the lift is a mistake. I'd rather save and go all out, even if it won't see much dirt. I will install the kit, dial it in with the stock rims and tires, and then splurge for black steel rims and BFG 35s.

Man, this forum rocks for this particular reason: I am looking for exactly this.
I think that for Christmas I'll be picking up a 2.5 coil kit with shock adapters. And I'll be asking for 1.5in spacers and BFG KM2 33's.

My JK is over at the shop getting the Teraflex 2.5" BB put on TODAY! Tires aren't going on yet, I'll stick with the 32's I have for a bit longer. I have a set of 35's on my Dodge truck (that rarely gets driven) and I'm thinking about swapping, but may go with 33's to avoid regearing. Guess I'm still undecided. It will look good with what I've got on there now though so no rush.

Sure thang!
I am very pleased with the 2.5" budget boost and 1.25" wheel spacers! The 255/75 R17s that I have on there now look pretty good with them too! It will look even better when I get my new tires on (probably 33s at this point)! Also, in the short drive home, it didn't seem as though there was as much tendency for it to lean forward in a hard brake. I'm not sure why that would be since it's not a coil lift, but there was definitely an improvement (that aspect of the stock suspension was always unsettling to me).
Excuse the pics, I was losing my light. Will try to replace them with better pics tomorrow.
