I don't mean to hijack the thread but:

@Echo: love the picture of you and the wife. She and I are probably about the same age, you lucky dog!

@Love Monkey: I do make dresses but I don't sell them. While I have been sewing/designing for over 30 years, I am finishing up my degree in fashion design (to make me "official"). I do have my own label, but I don't have any plans to expand it - the dresses you see here were created for scholarships and national competitions (which I won BTW woohoo!). I will probably work for a designer after I graduate. Your best bet, I hate to say, is to find an off-the-shelf dress and have it tailored for you. Custom clothing (couture) is expensive because it's so labor intensive.

@Thequietone: HAHA, thanks. I'm actually in the middle of completing certification to become an NRA certified pistol instructor. Just for some money on the side.

Well that's awesome, sounds like you have done very well for yourself

I always said, if I won the lottery I would have a clothing line specifically for girls like me. I'm shaped like a tootsie pop, so if I get something that fits the top, the bottom is too big. Something that fits the bottom, the top is too small. I have a lot of skirts/shirts seperate though!! LOL.
