Let's see...
how's these for rumor mongoring:
1. Better plastics for the interior
2. Stronger axle material so they don't break (more than just an isolated issue)
3. Bug screen/protection behind the grill so the radiator doesn't get trashed.
4. Upper sliders option for those with half doors...zip out plastic window is a relic that has out-lived its usefullness.
5. Dana 44 standard on all Wranglers...front and rear.
6. Better colors...Detonator baby puke yellow and Bile colored rescue emesis atrocious offerings.
7. Heavy metal front skid standard...junk the plastic air dam with the cheap screws.
8. Dash top cubby...hate that Daystar alternative.
9. Chit can all 16" wheels and tires...17" standard on all models with 33" tires.
10. Rubicon rock rails standard on all models...all those goofy side steps should be options for the un-initiated.
11. Dark sunscreen plastic for the rear 3 windows should be standard on all soft top models.
12. Heavier guage steel for the hood and doors...damn they are thin.
13. I think that's it for now....did I miss something?

All those would drive up the cost. Its already close enough if not over 30k depending on the outfit.
Sure, it'd be nice to see a pre-packaged Jeep with those listed options but standard?
It's a Jeep, not supposed to overlap on luxury SUV pricing.

Not really Ho...less warranty work if DC uses stronger and higher quality materials; less payout on warranty claims translates into keeping more profit and giving the buyer what he should get for his money...the cost of adding on some of these standards is minimal considering what one sees as the price for say a hardtop on the sticker vs. buying it afterwards...nope...can be done.
