Default Let's hear about your ideal build!

So we all have reasons, budgets and idealistic visions of what we want our JK's to look like and how we would like them to perform after we're finally done with them (whether or not there is an actual "finally" warrants another discussion thread ). So let's hear em! What does your dream JK build look like?? And why?

Because mine's a daily driver, which means I have to consider safety, MPG and some of the practical things, I envision a slightly more subdued but still very capable build. Weekend warrior and errand runner, so to speak. It's gonna take me my entire 5 years of my finance term to get this done, but it will be a fun process nonetheless!
  • 33 inch tires (check)
  • Tow receiver (in the mail)
  • 2 to 3 inch lift, possibly budget boost (any higher and I risk on-road stability and a voided warranty)
  • Bushwacker flat fenders
  • Undercarriage armor
  • Mopar electronic sway bar disconnect
  • Front and rear off-road bumpers with tire carrier on rear
  • 8,000 to 10,000 lb winch
  • 2 to 5 lights on the front bumper and the side of the windshield... and maybe 3 more on the roof rack when I finally get that!
  • Snorkel or CAI
  • Roof rack
  • Half-doors for the summer
  • Hard top for the winter

Mines almost there. I want 37's on a 3" lift with flat fenders for my perfect set up. On my JKU Rubi this means I can keep a lcg and use stock drivelines, avoiding some hassles. The rest of the misc stuff like lights, bumpers, winch, on board air, disco flip, raised beathers, and a few skids (oil pan and evap) are all done.

All I have left is welding up some gussetts, an or fab carrier, and bushwhackers. Shopped carefully I think I can get these under a grand total. Then I order my 37's to replace my 35's and she is done!

Keeping the list generic since I haven't decided on brands for many mods. Going for "expedition" style build. Will probably have to compromise on alot of this but, ideally...

DIESEL. (probably 4bt cummins swap)
OME 2" HD suspension system
JKS trackbars
JKS quicker discos
Adjustable control arms (currie?)
D44 front D60 rear with 4.88s (it's a DD)
35" KM2 on 17" alloys
Dual battery system
Snorkel
Air lockers (front and rear)
Onboard air
HID overhead lights
Gobi stealth roof rack
Spidershade
Secondary fuel tank (relo evaporate canister, replace and relo muffler)
Front and rear off road bumpers (AEV?) with tire carrier and dual Jerry can carriers in rear
Mobile HAM radio and a CB
110 power inverter in cargo area
WARN 10500 winch
Full skids

The IMPOSSIBLE QUESTION!! There is ALWAYS something else you want. And i want it all.

But I'd have to go with what type of rig I was going for. First it would probably be an expedition jeep.

Start out with:

- 4 door J8 for a good strong base
- Rear seats turned into flat bed with panels that flip up to access storage in foot wells
- a diesel with capable auto transmission
- AEV Premium 3.5in lift
- Mickey Thompson 36X15.50R16 Baja MTZ Radials
- 17x8.5 Argent AEV Pintlers
- Dana 60's front and rear with all the bells and whistles
- ARB lockers
- JK Big Brake kit
- Hard top
- MBRP roof rack with extensions
- IPF lights on roof rack
- Garvin JK G2 Series Front Bumper - Full-Width
- Garvin Industries Rear G2 Series Bumper with Tire Carrier
- G2 series trail rack with Jerry can holders and Ax and Shovel Brackets
- WARN PowerPlant Dual Force HD 12000LB
- Custom internal storage racks and shelves
- Offroad Evolution Armor Rock Sliders and under body skids over essentials
- SRC- Airboat/Offroad 2 Place Intercom System
- Lowrance Baja GPS HDS-10m
I think thats enough for now... im too all over the place to think of everything haha

Its a 2dr DD so it'll be:
* BFG 35" on TF BB and flat fenders
* front D44
* front + rear ARB air lockers
* AEV front bumper
* 8000-10000lb winch
* volant snorkel + CAI
* 5.7 HEMI engine swap
New list when its not a DD anymore

Ideal JK build is inspired by Rock Krawler's build "The Victim" a little over a year ago on a 2 door to race KOH. Love the suspension set up and the roll cage work.
I have ideas for DD's too, but this is awesome.
