let me know if im getting screwed
I have the jeep its a 4dr wrangler x base model with 7,000 miles but im not too happy with it I need more power I owe almost $28,000 on it and I put $2,000 woth of wheels on it I brought it to the dodge place today looking at a 08 slt quad cab and they said they would give me $20,000 trade in plus $2,000 for the wheels so 22 for it the truck I want is $32,630 but it has $9,000 rebate so its $23,630 but the out the door price is $30,822 does that sound like a good deal or am I getting screwed?

Of course you're getting screwed...they give youa truck, more payments, take your jeep!!! What's next, they kick you in the nads tooo????????
J/K it is the price of the truck you need to focus on. Your credit and and financees will dictate your total cost.

As a general rule I avoid trade-ins at ALL costs. You can usually do better selling privately. Although $22K for yours sounds reasonable at least, unless you have power options, mygig, hardtop etc.

When you fill up at the gas station, you're getting screwed. When you trade-in a nearly new vehicle, you take a big hit for depreciation, and that's just an accepted fact. So yes, you ARE getting screwed, but it's to be expected in this situation. What truck are you looking at, BTW?

$22,000 (your Jeep's value) - $28,000 (What you owe) = -$6,000 (in the hole)
$32,630 (price of truck) - $9,000 (rebate) = $24,630 (actual price)
$24,630 + $6,000 = $30,630
I'm not sure where the difference came from or even if that was a fair price for the truck...use Edmonds.com to figure out a fair price for both your Jeep and the truck before you decide. Good luck.

The last I looked JK's were 2nd in resale maybe you should try to sell it yourself. And trucks? Dealers can't hardly give them away and you should be able to find a pretty good buy. Boy I am sure glad I got rid of my V10 when I did. Just in the nick of time.
