Knocking Noise driving me crazy

hmm this is starting to make more sense. it could be the on the inside steering shaft on the inside of the cab i will have to try and wedge myself under there and check. i did get my hand up there the other day though and wiggle it around and it did not make any noise.
if that is the problem does anyone make an aftermarket shaft?

There was one poster on here that found a prob under the dash, that's why I mentioned it. The vast majority has been the intermidiate shaft. Including me.

For some reason my lower left sway bar link comes loose. It happened to me again on the trail today. It's getting a dose of blue loktite today! You can get under the jeep, have someone bounce the front bumper and you can see it move.

well i wiggled my steering shaft today and there is a little bit of a noise still not sure if it is the one i hear when i am driving. i am going to check those lines going into the firewall too maybe that could be it. i know it is on the driver side though. im going to have to play around with it again tomorrow i will let you know what i come up with.

Shoot some grease in that steering shaft boot, if it goes away, thats your prob.A little grease ain't gonna hurt it anyway even if it's not your prob, chances are it is though.

Needle fitting for your grease gun , take the clamp off and shoot it in or, quick way, poke a small hole in the boot and fill it up. Use fifth wheel grease if you can find it. Ussually at Napa, also called open gear lube. Those come in a spray can and you just spray it in.
