No dice. Can't remove the key.

Same here, cant do it in drive or neutral.

Ok, so just to be sure.

You've stopped your car, turned off the engine, and haven't put it in park yet.

This is when I can remove the key from the ignition when the car is still in Drive.

I can't turn the key all the way back if the transmission is still in Drive. Have to put it in Park and then the key will come out. So no, my '12 does not do that.

Oh its off? I originally thought you meant the engine was still on.

Yes. Tried various key positions as well...key will not come out unless in park.

Have to try it in my 2010. My parents had a '76 Corrola that you could pull the key out when it was running and it would stay running--handy for when you had to nip into the house quick or pick up a buddy......
