Ive been running my KCs (2 sets) since 08 and i have not had an issue with rust. Although i do not have the ss ones. Hit em with some 20grit an bedline them.... Or buy a new set from kc an send back your old set they will stand by their product. Good luck.

mine haven't lasted long enough to rust, I have 6inch slim light mounted to my windshield, in the last year I've had to replace both of them, They just quit working, don't know why. I am thinking about switching to another brand, any suggestions ?

Check for 12 volt power to the lights, if you have 12 volts, then its time to change the bulbs. They are very simple design, no relays or moving parts.

I'm pretty sure the slim lites are a sealed unit, this means changing the bulbs is not an option
