Congrats on the new 2010! Shouldn't you take the top off so you can remove the soft top so it won't take up space in your trunk all winter. The weather here in T-dot is gonna be sweet all week long. I can't resist to go top down, knowing there'll be 6 months of cold soon.

It's weird seeing mirrors there... Also, what the heck? A microphone?

Microphone comes with Navigation for voice commands and uphone on 2010 models.

Searched the owners manual for dual top section but it does not exist. How does the soft top even come out?

It is very easy.

Remove the hard top.
Unscrew the 4 bolts that attach the soft top bows to the sport cage.
Lift out.

Welcome to the forum, Take the top off, you will not regret, winter is a long time to wait. I bought mine in January and had to wait till mid may to take mine off and it drove me crazy

So to remove the soft top I would have to take the Hard Top off? There is no other way?

Not if the frame is attached, and I'm guessing it is. The arms are too long to get around the roll bars with the top still on.

As far as your mic, you might want to go into the programming menu and make sure that JK/VR is enabled. It sounds like the mic is in fact either not working or not connected in the back, but it couldn't hurt to check.

Does anyone know if the 2010 visors are any bigger than the previous years, because in my 07 they don't do much in the way of blocking out the sun?

Congrats on the new Jeep!

Not sure but I think someone said they removed theirs without taking the top off but was even more hassle. I think you should hook up with a friend (beer, pizza) and make an afternoon of it. Go get some mirrors and before putting hardtop back on go for a drive.(not advocating driving after more than one beer)
