Take your time. Don't take a dive on price just to say 'i got a 2012 first.' There's always another dealer. Always another Jeep.

Thats what I love. Jeep dealers are always claiming how great the resale of a Wrangler is. Then when trade in time comes they lowball the crap out of it. I was looking at trading in my 08 for an 11 a couple months ago and had the same problem with trade in. No where near what KBB was. So I said screw it and took the extra $$ I would of spent and got F/R D60s and some other stuff.

What did you expect? I just got an '11 brand new for under $28K. Why on Earth would I pay $25K for a 3 year old JK when I got a new one for $27 and some change?

There is no dealership in their right mind that's going to give you over $20K for a used JK with mileage on it. Remember...they DO have to turn around and resell it.

I think you should have been happy with $17k.. that's pretty awesome trade-in for a Jeep that is now 4 model years old.

I agree I bought my new loaded 4dr for 26k there was an '08 4dr with miles on the lot for 27.5k! Why in the hell would I buy used when I could get branded new. They must have jacked the price up because of winch and bumper. Crazy.

Just sell your Jeep yourself and use the "Tread Lightly" membership discount to get you 1% under invoice for the 2012. That's what I plan on doing in a few months.
