Just a few questions...
OK, so i am finally getting a JK im getting an '11 sport base 2dr 6speed with the only options being 3.73 and A/C.
Now does getting the normal Sport model with the power doors and windows, tow pkg, and dual top group (as opposed to just the hard top) really warrant the extra 4k ??
also do any of you know if there will be any sales promotions coming up in the next few months, or should i just order it this October?
thanks for all your help and patience and i cant wait to join all of you on the trails

I just mean that the Sport i want is classified as the "Sport Base" with doesn't allow me to add power conveniences, trailer group, dual top, lsd, and the better stereo.
Now for me to get these things, i have to upgrade to the "Sport" which is an extra 3,400 just for no reason, then i have to add the actual features. power is 950 trailer is 475 radio is 775 and dual top is 1,975 (1,025 more than just hard top).
All i am asking is do you think the options i want is actually worth me spending the extra $6,625.
Basically tell me how much you like/use those options (if you have them) and why.
Thanks again,
Marty

Tow Package is a joke because you can buy a hitch and plug harness for less than $100.
Power locks and windows may be worth the extra money, but the other stuff really isn't.

The sport you are referring to is a 24s package. Which comes with the 17 inch aluminum wheels and also power side mirrors. You are correct the power group is extra but worth it. Never once regretted paying a little extra to have it on mine.
The base price on the new model went up by about a grand so that has some to do with it also.
Did you notice the jeep on the lower right side of windshield climbing a rock pile.

I believe that this is correct, but I think that for $50 you can add the 3.73s (if getting a manual--it comes with the auto regardless). However, if the buyer plans on larger tires, he really should be thinking or regearing, so it may be moot. Back when the tow pkg got you the 4.10 gears, it was a very good option.
Tops: OP can probably pick up a new or nearly new softtop from someone who bought one off the lot with dual-tops and didn't want the softtop. Going rate is in the $400-600 range. That's a lot cheaper than the dual-top option.
