Just bought a JK Unlimited, what mods should i start with?
Sold my YJ when the wife got pregnant with my son, and since my family grew, went with the 4 door jk, it's completely stock and I want to start doing some mods, ideas would be greatly appreciated and also I wanna lift it a little but money is an object so I'm looking for the cheapest way without ruining the way it rides right now, it's pretty smooth. Spacers maybe? I'll post pictures of it in the morning.

It depends what you plan to do with it - what kind of offroading are you going to do? Definitely drive the hell out of it first...
- I took mine offroading on day one, learn from my mistake - get skid plates - I got diff/ trans/ oil pan and some sliders
- drill the mirrors
- Flashpaq + K&N + Mbrp exhaust
- Lift it
- New Rims/Tires
Storage upgrades are always good.

So your looking for appearance mods first? I cant really help you there man, I love the stock look! I have been avoiding a lift and new shoes for as long as I could.
Rims/Tires will probably make the biggest difference in appearance along with:
Smitty front/rear bumpers and a winch
Driving lights- windshield mount

Inexpensive mods....JK stickers, flashlight mod, side marker turned to blinker mod. You can search Teraflex budget boost pics. There is a Teraflex 2.5 hardcore off road thread that is shows both BB and coil lifts. I am impressed how much flex some of these guys get with them and they are not that much also. Not that much in price and not too far off from a 2.5 coil lift either.

I grabbed some rubi rims and tires with a rock krawler budget lift with 5100 shocks. This is just to tied me over. Also cut the fenders to flat , easy to do and changes the look big time. My wife would rather drive a Volkswagen thing! Than some of our friends see us in a stock jeep. The razzing is to much to take.

This is what the jeep looks like right now, I was thinking about powder coating the rims and putting some bigger tires on it, what you guys think?
