Default JK winter woes.

This past weekend I went snowboarding with some friends up north. Me and my girlfriend drove up to my friends house in my girlfriends accord. Once there we hopped into my Friend's brand new Dodge Ram Mega Cab to the mountain.

Boy was I feeling regret. Hearing the V8 engine, being in a truck that dwarfed all other cars on the road. Being able to toss things carelessly into the bed. Having to swing across an entire road just to turn from a driveway into a street. It made me miss my pickup truck!

Then my girlfriends car. Being close to the road. Cruising at 85 mph without knowing it. Getting 30 mph on the highway! Why didn't I get myself a car?!

Then we got to my home, to kick of round two of the snowboard trip (to another mountain). I hopped into my Jeep, turned it on, and popped it into gear. Insta-smile.

I love my jeep. I love being able to shift through gears. I like how I have fun driving. I like knowing I"m going 65mph just by hearing engine, wind and road noise. I like feeling the tiny engine vibrations through the shifter. I know I'll love it even more when the spring comes around and I can take my top off again!!!

Anybody else have Jeep woes??? Where you're away from your Jeep for some time and forget how much fun it really is???

I'm missing decent/dry weather. I've been itching to get my roof and doors off, but the rain or snow has got me all boxed up.

I miss my jeep about 5 minutes after I see the airport valet drive it away to a dark and lonely parking lot everytime I go on a business trip.. i just refuse to rack up 45,000 miles a year on it for non-pleasure trips...

now this spring i cant wait to actually have ALL 4 DOORS OFF!.

or at least have it get warm enough during winter to open the sunrider.

I miss my JK every time I go on business trips. Last time was 2 weeks driving a PT Cruiser. Driving "cars" makes me appreciate how great my JK really is.

I work for a Telecommunications company and have to drive a Ford Freestar mini van every day I work. I put about 35,000 miles a year on that little van.

Keeps the miles on personal vehicle to about 5,000 mile a year.

I just can't wait to drive my Jeep after being in that little van all day.

Cool Year round topless

I don't understand why you don't drive with the tops down in January...I do....I haven't had my top up since I traded in my old TJ for my new JK two weeks ago...in Ft. Lauderdale...then drove it home topless to Key West. As a matter of fact; I only had a bikini top on my TJ for the last five years (in Key West)...(the only problem is that the neighborhood cats like to pee in it)..small price to pay for freedom

Oh, come on. You floridians are a bunch of wimps .

A few friends of mine spent new years in Miami. They have a few pictures where they were decked out in Shorts and T-shirts, while people around them were in Coats, a few had beanies and scarves!!! TEMPERATURE=58 degrees!

Average temperature here in january: 10 degrees. Top stays up!

I love my Jeep but I bought it for the warm seasons. I'll take it out with fresh snow to have a little fun but I really don't enjoy driving it all that much if I'm not going to play with it.

My daily driver is my Chevy truck. You were right about the truck thing... it's way too convenient for just about everything and it handles great in crappy weather. And my wife gets a new company-paid car (she picks a minivan every time because of our 3 kids) every year with free gas so there has to really be a good reason to pull the Jeep out of the garage in the cold months.

This is why I'm glad I have my Jeep.. Plus my '05 Chev 3/4 crew cab diesel.

As for woes.. like someone else mentioned somewhere. I have visitation on the weekends with our Jeep. My wife drives it during the week.
