Heh, I'm here in SA, too. I drove thru a stretch of water that was about 2 foot deep. I passed a camry and an accord that were both stalled out. Both guys were sitting in their cars, on their cell phones, and they both looked at me as I passed. I can only imagine they were thinking "I should have got a Jeep!"

Default Question about snorkel and hood

I really like the AEV heat reduction hood and was thinking about a combination of that and the snorkel. My question is what happens, if anything, if water gets over vent of the AEV hood? I know my snorkel will protect my air intake, but do you all think there could be damage from the water coming in the vent over the engine? Thanks!

You can buy a spray to help protect the electronics but if your going to be in a lot of water all the time you need to do more then a snorkel.

It was common amongst the 4 wheeling groups when I lived in FL... I will look to see if I have any left somewhere in the garage.

X2 My interest is peaked.

I don't plan on submerging long term, just want to protect the jeep as best as possible within my limited budget. Thanks for the assist.

OK the bottle has changed it is called Buster
http://www.armchem.com/category/buster_buster_marine

It is a inhibitor/demoisturant not sure which of the three listed is the best option I didn't spend the time and only looked up the link from an old bottle that I have. I spent a lot of time running the swampy land in FL and it worked for my TJ electrical system.
Edit:
This link has a working video showing a demo... kind of crazy to me if you think about it.

I get kinda geeked out driving through deep water too. This is short, but it's always been one of my favorites...
