For me they were a MUST have... They are one of the reasons I ordered my JK and not buy one off a lot.
I would have ordered REAR side bags if available no matter the cost.

All good points, appreciate the input. Not a cost issue at all, more of availability issue but that can always be resolved by ordering if need be.

If you have them on the vehicle when you bought it, would it be illegal to change the seats out for say Master Craft or any other after market seat? Or how about the steering wheel?

The side impact crash tests (no side airbags) on the JK did not go over well (marginal rating). I ordered mine with the side airbags. Watch the video.......

You should have bought a Volvo. A Jeep is not a safe vehicle. It is irresponsible transporting children in a high center of gravity vehicle.
