I guess I'm not a fan of 'real Jeeps' since I would have never considered a can of sheet metal with roll up windows as anything other than a 3rd or 4th vehicle. Since the JKU came out, I considered one as a daily driver for the first time ever. The only thing that held me back for so long was the underpowered engine. I've convinced myself that the pros out weighed the cons so I picked up a 4x4 with the S package a few weeks back. Call it what ever you want, I bought the vehicle, not the name.

Jeep's a Jeep. I wish I'd gotten an Unlimited, but hey, I still love mine as it is. I wave at every Wrangler I see, regardless of doors, length, or otherwise. Unless it's some snobby 17 year old with daddy's money and a clean Jeep that's never seen the dirt. Then I just kinda shake my head in shame at them.

Does this mean that everyone is going to complain about the Pentastar engine because Real Jeeps have no power from the factory? 
This is why the factory doesn't offer a HEMI or a diesel powered Jeep. There would be an uprising amongst Jeep owners and a boycott by Jeep buyers

FWIW...I have yet to see anybody "build" a jeep from raw materials and by pouring the steel themselves...

wish there was a way to preserve this thread for when the next generation of jeeps come out (if they survive) just to see what all the current jk owners are saying about the (whatever) model that just came out, and why they don't like it, etc.
