How about this for a kick in the nads.
I got my 2dr x with dual top, S pkg and upgraded 17"wheels with 32's through military new car sales. I put the deal together back in October when they still had the $1600 rebate. They put the order in around the middle of December and it's already on they way to Florida. The crappy news is that I don't leave Japan for another six weeks so I still have to wait!!!
I'm dying here. I know it's terrible that some of you have to wait months fo your 4dr's, but mine will be there, sitting on the lot, while I'm stuck on this island dreaming about it and looking at the pictures of your new rigs on the internet.
I'm sure those of you still waiting will tell me to cry you an effin' river and things definately could be worse and I'm thrilled that it's going so fast. Just wish could be there to enjoy it now.
Oh well. I'm going straight to the dealer from the airport jetlag and all. Just 42 more days. Anyone in the Jacksonville area let me know.

Congrats on the delivery, well the almost delivery. You could always have someone pick it up for you and give it a good 42 day break in. They could even pick you up at the airport in it. lol Anyway, be safe and hurry home.

 

Yeah- That's the ticket -let me have it and i'll break it in for ya. I laughed on that one. Your 42 days of Jeep Purgatory will roll by fast enough. Oh and btw- I was driving mine in the snow today thinking what a great rig it is.

Man, what is up with the crappy service at Overseas Military Car Sales? Jeez I put my order in around the same time to catch the $1600 rebate. I put my order on 25 Sept. They didn't sumbit my order to the factory till late November. Why the hell does't it take those yahoos 2 months to put in an order. I asked for mine overseas delivery. It went to D status 27 November, then D1 on 8 January. It will not arrive in Korea till maybe end of Feb. Had they got off there rear at the get go I would most likely be driving my Jeep now.

Of course I have to admit, their screw up might actually have worked in my favor as I have ordered a JK Unlimited Rubicon and they have worked out some of the early issues.

Still it is the principle of the matter. What kind of customer service sits on an order and a $1000 check for 2 months?

 

awesome man, congratulations! I bought mine through those guys too. I was stationed at Kadena for 3 years. I just got back to the states and picked up my jk about 3 months ago

 

this gives me hope. i'm tired of walking, and it's cold in belgium.
