Default JK moves while parked in gear!?!

So I just made an appointment to take her in on Wdenesday, but wanted to see if anyone is having (or had) this issue.

If I park on an incline (in my moms driveway) my JK slowly creeps down the incline....even when its in gear and the e-brake is on (although my brake needs adjusting and is pretty much useless).

It's strange, I get out of the Jeep, leave it in gear, and literally every 60-90 seconds it will jump about 6 inches down the driveway (regardless if its backed in or fronted in).
Its to the point where if I left it for a few hours it would be out on the street or into the back of another vehicle. I have no idea what can be causing this

Any advice or suggestions are apprecieated!

Sounds like the extra weight from bedlining your hinges could be the problem

I have a rather steep drive as well and so far have had no problem. By "In gear" do you mean reverse? That's what I use and I belive that's what is recomended in owners manual.

Adjusting your parking brake will probalby do the trick. It only takes about 20 minutes and there is a write-up on the board for it.

I don't know about the whole 6" every 60-90 secs...That's kind of weird. Mine normally will just roll downhilll slowly.

adjust your ebrake, or get a wood block and put it behind the tire..

when we still had our TJ and YJ, wood blocks were always in the driveway

Its weird, its not even like it slowly rolls....it literally jumps forward

I will adjust the ebrake, but even without the brake, it shouldn't be doing that while in gear. Oh well, at least if I do roll I have my LoD bumpers on...hehe

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. The first night I had my JK woke up and the wife found the JK up against my the front door of my truck. Put a nice dent in it. Luckily I had the truck where it was or the JK would have been knocking at the front door.

I think it was recommended elsewhere on the forum to use 1st gear as it has a lower ratio than even R. Between that and using the e-break, I haven't had a recurrence.

It happened to me, found my Jeep in the middle of our cul-de-sac. Pretty freaky.
