Default Jk Military jeep

I am thinking of doing this hood snorkel on my jeep what does everyone think. ?? this is a picture of the military jk with the CRD

Looks good.

But what keeps it from sucking in a big gulp of water if you go into a deep puddle?

Last time I got into a deep muddy puddle, I took a wave over the hood. That muddy water would have gone right into that intake possibly causing hydrolock.

I agree with this, that doesn't look like it would work that well.

i never go in deep water though i just thought it was different im just looking to do something that not a lot of people have.

Then put a Hula girl on the dash!

No it's your Jeep. The intake looks bad ass. I was just looking at it from the way I Jeep.

If water is no issue, go for it.

Why don't you just mount it backwards in place of the windshield tiedown?

i was thinking of that too then i would have to route something to the air box from there and i think that would be far more difficult

I think it looks good offset like that. But that's MHO.

Keep in mind these were built for the Egyptian military, and it looks like its there to keep above the sand and dust under the body. But if waters not an issue I say go for it.
