Has anyone done exhaust on their JK? I would love a deeper but still somewhat quiet roar! I'm not sure what to do, however I know I don't want a loud muscle sounding exhaust. I come from a past of 5.0 GT mustangs that I always used Dynomax cat- back kits, they sounded super mean!! But def not what I want on a jeep! Lol. I just would like an overall good exhaust , stainless, and a good intake or filterbox upgrade to match it

I can't speak to exhaust since I haven't upgraded mine yet. However, I'd suggest getting a good k&n drop in filter and a snorkel. The 300 you would spend on a CAI isn't worth the few extra hp IMHO over the hydro lock insurance. This is coming from a guy who did the CAI and now is wishing he'd gone with the snorkel. As far as exhaust go to you tube there are a ton of sound clips to help you find an exhaust...

I have the dynomax VT cat back exhaust and it is very nice. No drone, pretty quiet until you mash the throttle then it opens the valve and has a louder tone. Very pleased with it!

we run a dynomax rock crawler exhaust on our white jk and, i think it's what you're looking for. everyone who hears our jeep thinks we have a different motor in it because of the nice sound.

My friend recently put on a dynamax setup, and I think i like the tone a bit more than my mbrp stainless!! It's a sweet sounding muffler for sure, and half the price of mine.

I have used lots over the years, for budget builds i like Gibson.

i currently am running borla cat back. And have to say well worth the money, deep sound but not so much that the wife gets pissed. And not reverb at mid speeds. but know a lot of times you get what you pay for. You just need to know how far you want to go $$. To do it yourself, or have it installed. I know my wife installed my borla catback as i just helped break the bolts, so by no means should you have to pay for install. Or later can go and have it welded in. My next step, to complete my install.

I'm not sure which series my friend installed I have to check. Hid sounds great though.

He actually pieced the kit together and saved 200$ vs buying the complete kit.
He did have some trouble finding the pipe that connects from the stock flange to the muffler, by the tcase..

But he saved almost 200$!

Do u know dm wanted like 45$ for the tip!!?????
And his pipe comes out the driver side now.
