[QUOTE=Rednroll;1897573] while driving in bumper to bumper traffic at 50mpg

I wish I could get that, I might get 18-19 mpg if theres a wind blowing at my backside.
I do agree with the not bragging part though, there is nothing to brag about, but like some of us have said, MAYBE he will learn from this.

This is nothing but the laws of Physics being demonstrated, in that "Things at rest will tend to stay at rest, and Things in motion with tend to stay in motion". The VW that got rear ended by Mr. attention deficit disorder, driving 50mpg in bumper to bumper rush hour traffic, where you should know better than to be taking your eyes off the road at all, since he already stated it was "bumper to bumper" traffic, was the vehicle in motion. Which means his vehicle is the force and will tend to stay in motion, which means the majority of the force will be transferred to the object sitting at rest...the VW. THAT'S just Physics!!! The VW getting the majority of the damage is expected due to the laws of Physics.

To prove my point, I was recently in an accident with my JK. I was the guy sitting still in a parking lot where some guy in a Ford Mustang plowed into me. Guess which vehicle had the majority of the damage??? By the logic you guys are using in this thread, the Mustang should have.....but NO!!! The "laws" of physics still applied in this accident also...My JK got the majority of the body damage, and the Mustang got a busted head light. So I guess, the Mustang driver can now say JK's are cheaply made and his Mustang is a beast. Don't make me laugh....Mustang's are one of the lightest and cheapest made vehicles on the road, and was still able to withstand any major damage, when they're the one who is running into someone standing still.

It's good to hear no one was hurt. Guess, what though? It was a 5 car pile up that was caused....which means you just inconvenienced 4 other drivers. You ruined any plans they had. Who knows what they had planned or where they were going that you just ruined ANY and ALL of those plans. I know in my case, the guy that hit me, I was without my JK for 2 weeks and had to pay for a rental for those 2 weeks. I had weekend plans with my friends going off road with my JK. The other drivers irresponsible behavior cost me money out of my pocket. It ruined any plans that I had for the next 2 weeks with my JK.....and now I own a JK that I know has been in an accident where things could show up years later. It also now gives my insurance company a reason to raise my rates, because I live in a no fault state and "My Insurance" had to pay for the damage to "My vehicle".

I'm glad you and the OP can find humor in all this. I know the next time someone runs into to me because they're not paying attention, the 1st thing I'm going to do is get out and beat their ass, so I can have my laughs also, and laugh in their face as they're laying there bleeding on the ground with a broken nose. That will be really funny too. I'll post pics, so we can all get a good kick out of it showing how my knuckles were hardly scratched compared to the other guys nose. WOW....look at his nose it's completely fattened....Laugh....laugh...laugh...Guess, what that is??? Another display in Physics. I would have to assume you would think that their nose is cheaply made and I got the baddest fist around, because I only had a couple scrapes on my knuckles....NO IDIOTS...THAT'S PHYSICS. YOUR JK IS STILL A PIECE OF SHIT!!!
to think you let an interweb thread raise your blood pressure

I would love to have someone get out of their car and approach me in a hostile manner. I have solutions for real life tough guys too. good luck guy

Does anyone know where to get safety info/stats on Jeeps? I am working on convincing my wife they are safe. She won't let the kids ride with me!

Hit the links and you can open up more about the tests.

It seems to me the side impact ratings have gone down on most vehicles since side airbags came along.

This thread has really inspired me, I've learned a lot and some new things that I never knew about myself.

So yesterday, I decided to do a social experiment that sent me undercover disguised as a "cager." I showered, dressed, ate, and drove like a cager.

See, I thought I was only half-cager on my mother's side, but after the experiment, it turns out that I'm full-blooded cager.

I couldn't wait to sneak up on unassuming motorcycles and then start playing with the radio, racking the slide of my gun, or taking my hands off the wheel while playing air guitar to "Born to Be Wild." It was exhilarating!

I'm a cager, and now looking to meet other cagers in my area...:rotflmao2 ::rotf lmao2:

Where the stupidity is at is that you are not smart enough to figure out the analogies I made. The getting out and punching someone in the face and stating how impressed you are that your knuckles got barely scraped while their nose was flattened is a direct comparison of what happened in this accident where they are proud that their Jeep had very little damage on it, while the other vehicle was majorly messed up. See the analogy there or does your dumb azz need me to further elaborate? Their Jeep is the fist, and the VW is the other person's nose and he's in here bragging about his fist barely getting scrapped.

So how stupid are you for completely missing the analogy??? Maybe if you had some intelligence to be able to follow along with an analogy, then things might not seem so "stupid" to you.

Let's call the jeep hope and the VW despair. And the space between them is fate.

Now it's an allegory. get it?

Wow, you expect us to believe this "Analogy" crap?? I'll bet you have a worn out bumper sticker on your tractor, harvester or whatever it is you are renting or leasing at the time that says, "My other car is a John Deere" or "My stupid kid can beat up your honor student"

Good grief, you & cutey&cool should go out into the cornfield together, far far away.

When are the Mods going to nix this thread??
