Well we are in our first deep freeze for this winter here on the east coast, -25 c last night i know it is not any minus 40 but still damn cold when you add the wind chill -37c. the jeep starts fine, sounds like the power steering groans for a second and mines a standard which makes it a little hard to shift starting out. the heater is great defrost sucks. tpms light has come on when it gets really cold, adjust tire pressures and all is well. hope it it warms up for you guys seeing the minus 40s i know what it feels like used to fly in northern ontaio and manitoba, we would fly up to minus 40. its amazing how long it can stay at minus 38 for weeks on end.

Now have a small charter company on Cape Breton Island mostly doing aerial photography and sight seeing on the Cabot Trail and arround the island. dont usually have to deal with the double digit deep freeze but we get lots of snow and wind storms.

Yes..........the cold spell snapped last week. Went from -40 and clear, to 40 above w/ high wind and rain It always amazes me how after a cold snap like that and then warm up, it drives the frost down in a heartbeat. LOTS of broken pipes and frozen drains everywhere. Glare ice on standing water. Cars off the roads all over. Schools starting late, activities cancelled. Had to buy a tube of sand last night so I could use it on the driveway so we wouldn't break our asses walking from the vehicles to the house.

The low blew off a little last night, cleared up a bit and got down to about 24 above. Now, as I type this at about noon, the sun is out and it's about 28.
Now THAT'S more like it... The local "Tustumena 200" sled dog race starts today. At just below freezing it's still pretty warm for the dogs, but I'm sure they'll at least appreciate no more rain.

yep sudbury ontario here......
it is always cold here.....my 08 rubi doesnt like our cold as much as my 06 did....
wheel sensors stop working at certain temps but check manually....as long as pressure is good they will return.....remember....if you have taken in any water this summer...she wont be happy now ....this is my daily driver....dump all fluids before winter....
let her warm at least 2 min....up to 8 min ....keep all radio and heat off.....after 2 min on the
road mine is at least half normal op. temp. and let the revs drop before shifts......
as soon as norm op temp is acheived she will shift nicely......
anyone have trouble with the boot that holds the shifter in place underneath make noise..
it gets noisy then stops as soon as i wheel it and she flexs.....then it comes back....

Our most recent cold snap here in Winnipeg has ended and no complaints, the jeep does well with the cold. Although I must say I have noticed improvements since I have changed all my fluids to synthetic. My work ends at 3:00 am. and after a 12 hr. shift with wind chills in the -40's the Jeep starts easier and runs smoother quicker since the changes.

Good to hear. I've just made the switch over to full synthetic. My JK does okay at -30 or -40 with dino oil, but the odd time that he's not been plugged in for more than a few hours below -30, he's informed me that he's none too happy about starting.

Definitely switch over to full synthetic, especially the diffs. The engine turns over much better as well with synthetic.
