Yes as long as you bring your Jeep to Los Angeles so I can take it for a test drive.

Do you know where you are planning on living? Some states have emissions regulations while some states do not. You will have to get it registered in the State you are planning on living, in GA and a few other states where there are no emissions testing or restrictions on vehicles you will be fine. But if you were going to try to move to CA or some other states that have very strict standards you will not be able to bring it and will have to just buy another Jeep when you get here. Goodluck in your endeavors.

Not bring it! Are you nuts. He could probably put that thing on ebay and get the price of a new rubi and new small commuter car. I say bring, and if you have to, sell it when you get here.

You would have to import the vehicle to register it in the US. The 2.8 does not meet US emissions standards and is not sold here. It is not going to be possible. You would be better off to sell your Jeep in Spain and buy a new one when you get to the US. You will have to settle with the gasoline 3.6 though. Sorry for the bad news.

There is a guy in GA who has a 2.8 CRD so don't say it cant be done. And bringing it over here just to sell it would be a costly endeavor making it not very worth while. Taxes would still need to be paid not to mention the cost of transportation. I know people who have brought cars from Europe before and its a big hassle and they always wish they hadnt done it.

A friend of mine bought a diesel Liberty few years ago. Had to go to States to pick it up.
Granted, I'm not sure if it is a CRD.
I think it is one of those Italian-built diesels.

US Import laws won't let it be brought in. It'd have to either be destroyed or shipped back immediately. It's too new to be allowed in with special clearances.

The Liberty CRD hasn't been sold here in about 5 years because of the new diesel emissions laws here.

Even if it was importable, which it isn't, you would have zero warranty on it if there was any left. Hell, here in Canada if you buy a new Jeep in the US and import it up here Chrysler will not honor the warranty at all.
