Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4dr crash tests
I haven't been able to find ratings on side impact tests... I know this isn't the most exciting topic but before I purchase a JK I would like to know.. Any one have any experience or know of a website that actually has the ratings? Safe for a future family hauler? Thanks for your input

I'm not sure what the ratings are, but based on the real world accidents I've seen on this site, it holds up very well. I have 3 kids and feel very comfortable with the whole family in there, even with the doors off.

I don't have the link offhand, but somewhere on the safetfy crash test site it states that the 4 door with optional side air bags gets bumped up a rating on side crash tests to acceptable. I want to start having kids next year and I plan on getting a 4 door 2012 as soon as its released.
Let me see if I can find the link.

here ya go...
National Institute of Highway Safety gives the JKU an overall marginal rating (without airbags) It scores good for almost all areas except driver torso protection (poor) and driver/passenger head protection (marginal)
