Jeep wont start!
Hi guys, first post, but I really would like some help here.
So, my 2007 jeep wrangler (4 door sahara) wont start. When attempting to start it, the ETC light and engine light kick on (not flashing), and there are no noises except a small electric hum from the engine (no clicks). Lights turn on just fine, so does AC.
What I have tried/checked:
-Did key trick to try and pull a code, -------- then done, so no code from that
-Checked Battery, still a good battery (Tried jump starting, still didn't want to work)
-Checked/cleaned connections to battery, still good
-Checked/cleaned grounds
-Checked starter, the starter runs when you test her with the good ol' screw driver trick
-Checked fuses, all good
-Unhooked battery and let her sit, still not starting
-Shifter is in park, and I checked the cable, all good
-Tried starting from neutral, still gets the same result
-The security light does not stay lit when trying to start her.
Any help would be much appreciated! If I can't get her to crank over to get to the shop, gonna have to find a tow.

A car needs two things to run. Gas and electricity. I see the that list is all based on resolving electrical problems. Can the problem lie with fuel delivery? Bad fuel pump, problems with the EFI systems ...

Did you test to see if the Starter Relay was getting power when turning the key to start and did it attempt to start the starter? When you used the screw driver to turn the starter you by-pass the relay. I would start with that.

Hey,
I am also having the same problem with my 2009 jku 4dr. The way you described your problem sounds exactly the same as to what I am going through currently. I was wondering if you found a fix to it?
