Why is it you can build & price an '08 Liberty on the Jeep website even though no dealers have them yet, but '08 Wranglers are on the lots and the website still only has info for the 07's ???? You can't even check online inventory because the option to search for an 08 Wrangler isn't available.

 

Two reasons:

1) The Jeep website is not always managed and updated timely; for example, the Jeep website said that my Wrangler arrived at my dealership about 2 weeks before it actually got there on the train. Then, after I picked it up, the site still said it was in the dealer's inventory for about a month!

2) Jeep (Chrsyler) corporate is trying to help dealers sell off their remaining 2007 models... this is common practice in the auto industry. The reason the 2008 Liberty is up on the site is because it's a total redesign, and not just a model-year freshening (whereas the Wrangler is the latter).
