Jeep wave goes near and far.... Didn't think it but it is here in Newfoundland, Canada... It's about a 40/60 ratio as well..

When the JK first came out, there where very few who would wave at my old yj and if it was a 4door... Soccer moms would stare like I was some stalker. Now that the cool and some old school jeep guys are buying the JK it has gotten much better.

I would say 80% of people do it back where I am. There is this one guy in town I see daily. He NEVER waves back. I find it funny because I know he won't wave but I do it anyways just to piss him off.

I pass a guy in an old TJ every day too, he has jerry cans, a roof rack what looks to be about a 4" lift and smooth street tires on it. I think he bought it that way?? I keep giving him a wave too - now he looks away as we approach each other Ha Ha!!

My parents had an old CJ with an ancient home made lift and they had to do the two finger lift off the wheel because it was a little scary taking a hand off in case you ran over a road seam or something bigger at speed the thing might end up anywhere.

Yeah as soon as I have some spare cash I want to buy and restore an old CJ. Really looking forward to it someday.

I just got my jeep on Monday and have been waving to all other jeeps, I think only one has waved back.

I'm probably the dreaded "soccer mom" type, but I still wave and my boys don't play soccer, just Kung Fu. I was almost tempted though to buy a little soccer ball air freshener to hang on my rear view mirror when I saw it the other day in a store. Just couldn't do it.

Out here in Phoenix, it's about 70/30 I'd say. I'm always looking/waving at Jeeps as they drive by. My girl says I look at them like I'm looking at a pretty girl walking down the street. My response..."Damn right!!"

??
