I learned to drive in a CJ waaaaaay back when. Then, I used to wave to other jeepers before I actually knew there was a "jeep wave". I really think that because we are on this forum, we almost assume every other jeeper is, and that they all know about the wave. I truly believe that some/most just don't know about it. So I have got to the point of letting my mood determine if I wave or not. I still wave almost all the time, and I will wave, of course, if I am being waved at. But I've gotten over being bummed out if I don't get a wave back. It's just the way it is............some wave, some don't.

When I bought my first TJ I had a buddy quickly inform me the Jeep wave was required and then he handed me some aftermarket parts catalogs and said start modding. A lot of folks these days don't have these mentors.

Welcome... Ya gotta fight through the pain and just keep the "wave" alive... Seriously, just wave and who cares if no one waves back? It's all about ME anyway...

Out here the JKs that are lifted wave--can't think of a time when we didn't. Rubi's almost always. Stock depends on who's in it and where they are---suburbanites, mall types, don't. I always wave.

When it's colder and doors on, windows up, I think we don;t see it as often either. Many people will just lift the hand off the steering wheel, so you may not see it.
Watch as the weather gets warmer and doors come off and windows open, you'll notice more waves. Just keep waving and you'll notice them.

I've found here if it is a JK and not modded. I don't even try to look. If it's a modded JK, i try, but usually get burned. Modded TJs & YJs are a good chance of waving...stock, 50/50
Everyone out here is a a-hole as it is.
