Does anyone have the Jeep Trail guide mounted on their dash? I really think I would like to add it since the MyGiG is not available. I am seeing it online with detailed install instructions, but the problem is all the screen shots and directions are showing it mounted in an 06? And since the top of the dash is different from last years model I am wondering if it will fit. Is this not yet available for the 07's as well? I would get a tom tom or something close, but I really like the mount it uses in all the pic's. I have seen it advertised in the 07 jeep brochure, but I also see the MyGiG in there as well. Even though it is showing up in the 07 accessories on some sites, it is pictured mounted in last years style? Just want to make sure it is available before getting my hopes up

 

There's a specific Trail Guide for the JK. The "console" is different in 07.

Can you buy different attachments for the trail guide.

Were looking at GPS units. but i was something i can also attach on my Harley.

Or is this strictly a Jeep unit and cant be used with other attachments?

 

I believe that the GPS is a hand held unit. The base is Jeep specific, but the unit can be carried around with you.

 

I saw in an advertisement I believe on Garmins site an attachment that bolted the GPS on the handle bars. I believe you could adapt it to fit your bike

 

Is the Jeep Trail Guide the Quest or Quest II?

 

I think it is just it's own unit? Official called "Trail Guide"... and that name is Trade Marked and made in conjuction with Mopar specifically for Jeep Wrangler . Hope that helps...
