There is always the beer bottle, spark plug, length of coil wire, rtv and a few ounces of gas contraption....
Put it all together and run the wire to some distance from the rear or side... Wait for the poor schmuck to hit the ignition... Not that i would EVER condone doing such a thing, it is ecologically unsound and makes for broken glass. (and puckered buttholes)
1 M80 firecracker.
1 pack of Estes Rocket Ignitors (from a hobby shop).
15 feet of 20 awg black hookup wire.
15 feet of 20 awg red hookup wire.
2 alligator clips (preferably with screw attachment for wire).
I roll of electrician's tape.
Optional solder iron, flux and solder.
Remove the fuze from the firecracker.
Attach wires to leads from rocket ignitor. Wrap each with tape to prevent shorting to each other.
Push ignitor into the fire cracker.
Attach wires to alligator clips.
Crawl under vehicle. Clip one alligator to good ground (bare metal) on frame or engine. Clip second alligator to starter post. Let the firecracker sit on ground, a good distance away from vehicle (you don't want to do damage). Vacate area.
When ignition key is turned to start, firecracker detonates. Bowels and/or bladder empty spontaneously.
I came up with this as a method of keeping Moose out of my father-in-law's vegetable garden up in rural Maine. The difference is I used a 9v battery and a home made trip wire switch (using spring-closed clothespins and fishing line). It works, makes a big noise and keeps the Moose out. The firecrackers are sealed in plastic bags to keep out moisture and rain. I tested it here on Long Island on a well traveled deer trail about 12 years ago.

*L* my brother pulled that on me, but he did it with a few bottles so i got several bangs. scared the hell out of me!
