The service department tightened everything up and next week they will have my steering rod and bearings in and will replace it.
So the problem was the steering rod and bearings.
I also learned today if anyone didn't know that on the 08 Wranglers they have a tie rod recall so go on in and get it checked out.

glad you were able to get everything sorted out. i bought my jeep there, and they have sent me a few free oil change coupons and such, but i refuse to go there ever again. im taking mine into jim click@automall on monday to get the factory remote start installed, and an oil change. i know its stuff i can do on my own, but they'd have to program the keys anyway. plus the guys there have been really cool with me even though i bought my jeep elsewhere.
