Default Jeep is dead help me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone I have a story so please read it.

I have an 08 wrangler 4" lift Warn M8000 winch Piaa lights blah blah blah

Every night since the weather has turned shitty and cold my jeep just clicks when i turn the key.

So i figure my battery is dead. I disconnect everything and just leave the main cables and it wont start for 15 minutes while being charged.

So i get a yellow top battery and it works for like 3 days and today after sitting at work all day in the single digits it just clicks again.

I have no Idea what to do.

Sounds like your alternator is not charging the battery.

Either what Robar said, or you're wired in such a way that there's a constant pull off the battery, but I would think you'd have noticed way sooner if that were the case.

Maybe a direct short to the frame on your positive cable pulling everything down. It is easy to knick a wire and cause this. Yellow tops some time fail within a couple days of buying. It kinda hit and miss on them. They are great batteries if you get a good one.

Somewhere along the line you have an open circuit. There has to be something that's drawing battery power while your igition is off. Like previously suggested, it is your best bet to methodically go through all of your added wiring. Don't stress on it. It'll come through.

It sounds like you have a serious draw somewhere try turning everything off then disconnect the negative battery cable then touch it back to the post and look for a pretty good arc, this is the easy way to check for a draw, but you really need a dvom or even a simple test light!

Maybe its a faulty ground....I will just have to have someone look at it tom. I guess.

One thing for sure about modding the jeep can mean some serious bad times

Bad cell on original battery... had the same problem on a TJ that had 4 PIAA lights, winch and a 1000 watt amp.

If you have the original battery still, take it to a store (Sears, AutoZone, etc.) and have them put a load on it.

as far as the new battery it might just be one of those cases where you got a bad new battery
