A company doing right by, and listening to its customers shouldn't be news. It should just be the norm. But that usually isn't the case. So this is good news. Glad to hear it. IFS can be fixed if they botch that. Unibody construction... Not so much.

I wasn't to concerned with unibody construction rumors. Look at how capable and popular the XJs are. As long as Jeep keeps everything easy to upgrade by the consumer, they will do just fine.

There is a reason XJ's are called "disposable Jeeps". If wheeled hard and often, their bodies will flex enough to ruin them over time. Bolt on/weld on stiffeners are a must, but cannot completely overcome the weakness of a unibody.

So, this is great news. Keep body on frame, solid axles, removable top, and add the EcoDiesel? They will retain me as a customer.

These confirmations are good...our beloved next-gen Jeep has cleared some big hurdles.

Body on Frame -check
Solid axles -check

Manual trans option???? -this is the 3rd big one in my book. Still waiting to hear good news on this.
