Default Irene got my Jeep a little wet...

So, I made sure everything was bolted down tight in terms of my hard top and my doors, but somehow the driver front and passenger front carpet is soaked through. I know the first response by everyone is, "it's a jeep!" but I'm curious if anyone else had the same problem, it seems like water is channeling down around the door by the B pillar (unlimited) and rolling into the footwell. I'm thinking the combination of wind and rain did me in.

I found that I have to slam the right rear door to keep from this happening. It most likely was the rain and and wind that pushed water in.

Driving rain sounds like the culprit.

Had the same exact leak at the same exact place! Agree must have been the strong winds and heavy rain. I did move over the little weatherstrip piece its shaped like a triangle upper left corner........not certain if it will make a difference but time will tell.

I get a very steady leak by the windshield column. My is a soft top however. Well serves you right for not ripping it out and bedlining the interior!

A pillar leak is a pretty common prooblem, mine has done it since I got it. I have talked to the stealership about it, basically the answer I got was "sorry there is no real fix for it"

Yeah, if this wasn't also my daily driver I'd do it, but this is my only jeep till it's paid off.

I only had the problem once before and it was when driving during a storm, but i didn't have the bolts in the sound bar. I put them back in and it seemed like it didn't happen again, I guess irene was no match for the weatherstripping on the doors. For some reason, it doesn't bother me too much, where as if i drove an audi and this happened, id have a shit fit.

My Unlimited also leaks on the B-pillar if left in a driving rain. Never enough to get the carpet wet but it does soak hthe seat belt (usually I dont realize this until I put the belt on!). I think the water comes down from the top where the soft top seals between the front and back door. Maybe you could say its a bad design, but then it is the only convertible 4-door you can buy and maybe there is a reason?!!
