honestly, come on, i want this to be true just as much as the rest of us, but its simply not. the hemi isn't in the JK because of there not being enough room in the engine bay to meet insurance safety standards.. the same rules would apply if international baught jeep, the 4.5L diesel would be a dream come true, one that is unfortunately too good to be true. solid axles in a grand cherokee again and in the liberty.... as much as i love solid axles, the rest of the world who buys a jeep to use as a family suv and not an offroader wont be interested in the solid axles. and an allison transmission, that would be nice. rumors also include a remake of the scout,,,, if international were going to remake the scout (and i sure wish they would) someone would have had word of it long before now and it wouldn't take a jeep merge to make it happen. sorry guys, theres no way this is true.

According to JP Magazine it is a done deal waiting for the ink to dry !!!!!
After hearing the specific plans that International has for Jeep ........ I am stoked !!!!
Offering the 5.7 Hemi and the 3.0 Mercedes Diesel ( aka Grand Cherokee ) and a Navistar Diesel with an Allison 5 spd Trans !!!!!
That my friend is MUSIC to my ears !!!!!!
Pick up the latest issue of JP Magazine and go to page 62 !!!! I have read the one page article 3 times ( thinking my mind is playing tricks on me !!! )
