Default Installing a Hitch

Does anyone know if you need to remove the muffler to install a hitch on a 2011 JKU? Or can you just line it up and bolt it on?

Thanks,
DJR

Default I didn't

I didn't remove mine. It is tight and was a little bit of a PITA but it is on now.
I have the one that mounts on the metal part of the actual bumper.

Hitch slots in place, the effort comes from the tight fit to get the long bolts into place horizontally to then screw into hitch. No need to remove the muffler, but might need to loosen it to provide extra space.
